LEED Certification
LEED is an internationally recognized program that provides third-party verification of green buildings. It provides building owners and operators with a framework for identifying and implementing practical and measurable green building design, construction, operations, and maintenance solutions. There are five categories for LEED certification. Within each of the LEED credit categories, projects earn points to satisfy green building requirements. The number of points the project earns determines its level of LEED certification.Companies can earn LEED credits by using an integrated pest management approach that follows LEED certification guidelines to earn points in the following categories:

  • Sustainable sites credits – strategies that minimize the impact on ecosystems and water resources
  • Indoor environmental quality credits – promote better indoor air quality and access to daylight and views

Aardvark Pest Control professionals use their knowledge of IPM, pest lifecycles, habits, and the conditions that affect different pests. Our non-chemical approach focuses on limiting pest entry ways, attractants, harborage, and food. This approach provides the most effective, longest lasting pest control.
